Just checking in noticed no ones been posting for a while. I started doing some projects started reorganizing my shop moving some of my MFTs around and using some existing cabinets as infeed and outfeed tables for my miter saw. Gotta get some spur shelving put in as well to put my systainers get them off the floor. But its just to hot now and getting hotter. But here in Az were getting to the hottest part of the year. July Aug early Sept are scorchers here. Its been cruising around 106 and upwards to 110 where I live. So ive been spendin my time indoors and going to the gym and range. Maybe one day Ill get a mini split for the shop.

Anyway guys just checking in touching base

I still check in often and miss the chit chat and advice.
Not working on any projects at this time too hot in the shop
and I have the luxury of not having to "have to" any more.

Hope more check in.

Duan

Well Off to Calif this morning. My son who got out of the USMC last year after spending 6 years in the Corps, is graduating from the Sheriffs academy. So of course we got to go to it. Plus it will be a nice break from this 100+ degree weather we're getting every day here in Az.

Im staying there a little longer then I normally do. So Ill have time to check out a couple of stores I like but havent been to since Ive moved. Wood Repair Products is one i really like. They have mostly Mohawk products and specialize n allsort of tings for repair, staining , blending color etc. Only place I know that puts their own kits together. One kit Im interested in is sort of like a colored hot glue w hot glue gun that can be used for filling deep knots and slits in wood like live edge slabs. Im gonna look hard at that kit.
Just checked wow the price went ip dramatically almost $100 from the last time I checked. but it still is a cool kit

All's well here. not 112F 80- 90. your dry heat can be very very deceitful. I never really knew how hot I was or parched until I tried drinking water and my tongue would not move. until it rehydrated like jerky. My sweat has always been a guide there i did not sweat. I suppose I was very lucky.

If you get a minisplit make sure the cage fan can be removed from the side to clean. In ours, the whole thing has to be taken apart to clean the fan where as in others the fan just pulls out of the side for easy cleaning.

thanks Don great Tip. I'll keep that in mind .

Looks like we ight have an early fall. it's starting to cool. It's only around 105 today and it has gotten down to around 101. If I wanted to I could get out in the shop at night as its cooling down at night to. Usually the nights during the summer are running about 90-95... So I may be able to get out there sooner than I thought
