I had a water pipe that was leaking at a soldered copper joint, I tried every trick I have learned in over fifty years but could get it to stop dripping. So I gave up drained the pipe again and coated the joint with JB weld, wrapped the JB weld with duct tape to keep the JB weld in place and let it set over night, The next day I turned the water back on NO LEAK.
I'm wondering since you drained it down, why you did not just re sweat the joint. it works every time.
