Five years ago my grandson and wife helped me replace a collapsing rail road tie retaining wall with one made from concrete formed pieces. This is what the new wall looks like now. We got estimates from a construction company to do the wall and they wanted seven thousand dollars. By doing the work our selves we got 20 per cent more wall, 82 feet of re-enfoced concrete side walks, a six by six loading dock, four times as much gravel for drainage, redid the steps, and 15 ton of limestone for the driveway for three thousand.
