This book is not a cover to cover page turner, but is more of a reference book. The author has compiled letters from the readers of the magazine "Fine Woodworking", sharing from their experiences the methods that worked for them. I found several tips that were helpful in my applications; i.e., finishing small items and protecting wood color.

There is one caveat emptor which the author neglected to include, it is that these methods worked for the individuals in their environment, with no consideration given to humidity and other climatological differences around the country. It is a good basic help book, but I would recommend testing all of these methods on a piece of scrap first.
