First Impression: The book cover is made of a reinforced paper and will not tear easily. This makes it very suitable as a book that can be knocked around the shop. There are seven heavy, tabbed pages with 160 heavy-weight white paper pages. Photos are B&W of high quality.

Close Inspection: The book is laid out in seven chapters starting with components/features and finishing with safety techniques. Each chapter uses a great deal of photos, drawings and charts to get the point across. There are chapters on choosing blades, making adjustments, maintaining your saw, techniques for cutting curved or rip, and building templates, patterns and jigs.

Overall: This book is of high quality, which shows all the way through. There has been allot of effort made to include valuable reference charts and grafts that can always be used even by the professional. The quality of the book, at $17.95, makes this a must read for the novice and the pro. Keep this one in your shop.
