See if those psoted. Yes Larry, tablesaw bit my thumb.
Zulu, I was working late...just finished ripping 8 ea 17" pieces for a project...turned saw off & cannot figure out how my LEFT hand got near the blade...I ALWAYS use my right hand to push (used a push stick) through.....but my left thumb hit that blade straight on...blade made a 1/8" dado in the end of my thumb bone...left 2 little horns that had to be trimmed off so the skin would stretch over the cut.
Doc did a good job. Left E R after 3 hours! Went back to work in shop today. Will post pics of project soon.

Don, I can't see the pictures but I'm assuming you cut your hand. I'm really sorry, Buddy. I'm getting used to mine, but all 4 finger ends are still completely numb.

Don,

Mine was I change my set up using my left hand instead of my right me just not paying attention. Took me a while to get over it as it messed up m mind quiet a bit. Everytime I use the saw, etc Its been about 2 1/2 years since I did it

Wow. Sorry that you had to go through that personally. Praying for quick recovery and healing.

I saw the pictures this time, Don! My thumb was the only one I didn't destroy. My hand doesn't really hurt, but I still have no feeling and it's been 5 months. I'm always dropping things with my left hand, but, THANK GOD, I'm still woodworking. I'm building a hanging entertainment center now, and I have 5 or 6 big jobs to do. Ron told me he was coming to help, but I'm still waiting. He wasn't happy with the $2.50 an hour I was going to pay him, so I raised it to $2.60 and he was OK with that. But he has to bring his own tools!

Larry, sounds like your injury was far worse than mine. I lost the nail and tip of the thumb but still can bend the knuckle...just enough to pinch a grandkid! I think my injury happened about the end of April and I'm using it as fully as possible now. I have hyper sensitivity in the end of the thumb and hoping it will toughen up with use. I, too, am back in the shop building stuff....just finished a potato/onion bin that I will post...gotta get another photo host.
When you get done with Ron...send him my way!!

Don
