Hi Everyone
Has been a while since I've posted any new intarsia. Here is a photo of my newest piece titled "Eagles Realm". It sits in a 16" x20" cherry frame with purpleheart accents and has 175 pieces from 17 different woods. This was a very challenging project to design but was fun to create. Woods used—Walnut, Holly, Spalted Beech, Spalted Sycamore, Yellowheart, Ebony, Fishtail Oak, Poplar, Lignum Vitae, Purpleheart, Afromosia, Vera wood, Peruvian Walnut, Tulipwood, Maple, Bloodwood, Pink Ivory. Fun project.

That's a lovely piece of work, Mike! I've never done any intarsia - curious what you have invested in it time wise?

As I mentioned on another forum, that is simply outstanding! I really do enjoy looking at intarsia and will have to try it someday-- you are certainly an inspiration!
