Well, one more teacher's gift (the first was the Jefferson quote, the second the "little prince" snake- this one is for a teacher that is also a friend (so we know a wine related gift will not offend)

Very quick and easy, but it was my first "balancer" project and took about 20 minutes from "sit down at the computer" to "put away the can of lacquer"

The black is spray ink (dries in about a minute under a heat lamp) and the wood is mesquite (of course). Next time i'll probably put the the letter/name lower.




Thanks for looking, one more project to do before we head out on vacation - I'm really excited - Colonial Williamsburg, Busch gardens, DC for a couple of days, Pittsburgh (including a tour of Hines Field), and Baltimore... should be great fun!

Very nice project! What angle are the cuts and hole drilled to? Is the hole location critical to get the balance?
