I went back to the surgen for my 5 week check up on the new hip. He said one more week and then I could move up to 50% weight bearing and one crutch in another wek. I was hoping to get rid of the crutchs altogether. But he said at least another six weeks before full weight bearing!. I need a lot of patience and I need it NOW! Rolling Eyes

Just take it easy and do what the Doc. says. Seriously, just relax and enjoy, plenty of time later to do what you want later.

Donald, be patient, it will come, I have a friend who has had his hip replaced 5 times, problem with him was his first replacement was when he was about 32 years. He is a very active fellow and would just wear them out. So go slow and it will happen.
