What would you do with a full sheet (4' x 8') peg board?
I'm not sure how thick it is or the size of the holes but, I can get some real cheap if I want it.
The last time I priced a 1/4" x 4' x 8' sheet at Lowe's it was around $11.00 per sheet.
A friend who likes to bid at actions just called me. He bought 80 sheets for $1.00....... YES, I SAID EIGHTY SHEETS FOR ONE DOLLAR!!!!....now he calls me and wants to know what to do with it??????
The reason he called me is two fold, he needs me to go get it with my van and wants me to store it for him.
Not only do I NOT want to drive the 20 miles to go get it, I do NOT have a place to store it and I sure DON'T HAVE A NEED FOR IT!!!
We, (well he) needs some ideas of what to do with it!
ANY IDEAS ARE WELCOME!
He may just leave it at the sale barn and loose the dollar.

Tell him to advertise it locally or on ebay (pickup only) for $5/sheet. I'm sure he'll get some buyers. Then take a vacation to Bermuda or someplace. _________________ Gene

I bet you could sell it on ebay or Craig's list like Gene said.
Would I drive 20 miles to help a friend...........Yes
Would I store 80 sheets of peg board.................Heck NO!!!!!
My 2 cents.

| 1/8 x 1/8 untempered is worth maybe 5 bucks a sheet. Still a profit, but if it's ever been damp .... |

Leaving at the warehouse in my opinion is the cheapest option. $400 wouldn't be much of a vacation in Bermuda or anyplace else, wouldn't even take care of the hotel bill for 3 days. _________________ My father was my Mentor for my WW hobby. luv ya dad.

So would I...... I have before and will again. BUT, by the time we get home, I will have more money invested in gas than he does in the peg board. I'm sure he would reimburse me for the gas money but, there again, that would increase the price for something he (or I) does not want or need!
He just bid $1.00 to get the bidding started and no one else made a bid therefor, he bought it!

Actually I got a great deal on peg board ( free) so I redid part of the walls of my shop with it. I just put 3/4 spacers on the walls and the pegboard over the spacers. Now it is a lot easier to find things that will fit on the peg board. |

Cut it up into small pieces - should make great kindling for the shop stove.
Actually, I've made
0- vacuum press for veneering cabinet doors
0- downdraft sanding table
0- mount on walls for hanging stuff (how original! -haha)
There are any number of things I could use it for that involve sheet goods where it doesn't matter if it has holes in it. But that is indeed a lifetime supply. _________________ Nullum Gratuitum Prandium

I told him last night to quit buying "Pigs in pokes" at any price.
He keeps trying to lay his "extra" stuff on me. Last night, it was a Tony Stewart coffee cup! I just said "Thank you but no thank you anyway."
