Thanks, Duan and Ron! The stain is Varathane Early American gel stain with 2 coats of sprayed semi gloss poly.

Are you still using that accuspray HVLP? I couldnt get parts any more so I had to get a new one. I got a Apollo Eco 4. I dont care for the gun but it does a good job

Same with me, Ron! I bought a new Accuspray and hate it! It uses 4 different heads for different types of paint, and I've already replace the one I use all the time. And they ain't cheap!

I miss my old one. The new one does a good job, i think i just need to get used to it. It has only 2 adjustments fluid and width of the spray, no adjustment for the air. Air is constant. I like to be able to adjust the air.

Apollo did upgrade the gun. Maybe ill check out what the difference is between the model I got and the upgraded one.

Larry, I havent been feeling well so I spent the day looking at you tube videos on spraying with my gun. I think I figured it out. I tried it yesterday and came out with a real good finish.

Hopefully that will solve the majority of my problems with this gun
