Hey Folks,

It's Gravenstein season again and time for pie. Usually, I use Shirley Corriher's butter pie crust recipe but this year I used Kate McDermott's half leaf lard, half butter recipe. Although the butter pastry is tasty, and has a beautiful yellow color, the texture and flakiness of the half lard recipe is worth the change.

Cheers,
Tom

Tom, you are cruel in teasing us with your Gravenstein Pie, and the
fabulous crusts.

Enjoy.
