Its been a long time.
Hope all you great people are still around.
Same old thing around the shop, just building canoes still.

Building some 35" long canvas canoes also. Fancy two tone paint.

Little Bear,
I like your stuff too!

Not too many folks around here these days.
This was a pretty busy place when I joined up.

Guess they all went to Facebook.

I've been here since 2008, but I don't do anything that would interest others. I just learn as I go with you guys.

some of the oldtimers still check in every now and then but I do miss them.

the stuff i build is not fancy or heirloom mainly rustic furniture, wine racks and lately ladder desks and matching bookcase. Not fancy but folks seem to like them. I have to build another one that Im gonna spray with black poly.

As you can see by the photos they are put to good use.

The one shelf has a small drawer to but a few bits in.

Little Bear,

That is awesome, and there are many houses and cabins and cottages just begging for one!

Great job, Little Bear!

I'm still here, still building furniture ( www.woodnwings.net ), although I've been sick for over 2 months.

Larry, what is going on with your health? On the mend I hope?

It's good to see your stuff again Bear. If I had a place to hang one of your canoe lights I would be driving to Maine to pick it up. Glad you posted.

Hey Bear,
Great to see your canoes again...and 'canvas'?? Do you use a resin on those?

Yeah, this forum kinda breaths in and out....I checked in every day for about 14 1/2 years.....watched some really great folks come & go......there always seems to be great talent hanging around here. I don't do the 'every day' routine any more but I DO check in at least one of my forums everyday.
Really good to see YOU back.....do you still have the web-cam?
Don

Hey yeah on the webcam?
www.littlebearcanoes.com
Look under Vimeo collections.
Shop camera.
No resin on the canoes.
The canvas is stretched over the wood and then
Filled with a filler and paint.
Thanks

Your canoes have always been top notch and the pool table light is a great idea. I'll admit I dont check in here much anymore. I work 55 to 60 hours a week and am lucky to find a few hours a week to do things I want to do. I mainly use Facebook for socializing in woodworking communities and with my friends. I've created a FB page for my woodworking if any of my old friends here would like to check it out. https://m.facebook.com/Woodcreationsbydewayne/

Like so many, I check in every day at least once. Just haven't been out in the shop all winter - I don't do cold very well any more and cutting firewood for the stove is becoming a real chore. But Spring's here and I'm feeling the urge to make some shavings.
