I had cataract surgery last week. I went to my eye Dr. yesterday, and for the first time in 56 years, I DON'T NEED GLASSES!!! Driving with them and working in the shop feels really strange. I'm going to need glasses for close up.

I think I'm gonna be due in the not too distant future. Be careful, Larry, if you're used to wearing glasses while working. Now that you may not need them, be sure to use safety glasses. But you know that.

:) Larry you can get bifocals in connection with the operation, I did and it works well. Don't worry about the operation , the simplest one ever.

When I got my cataract's done, I chose to be near sighted. So I need glasses to drive but not to read or work on the computer.
I also got "no line" bifocals which really help because I don't have to keep taking my glasses on and off all the time. I can either wear glasses and get along just fine or, I can go without glasses and do quite well at everything but driving (that would be illegal ya know HA HA) of course. :)
