cringe at using powered chisels to carve work. Sometimes mere mortals must resort to work arounds when a peoject calls out for a carved feature but as a mortal not having the tools and experience of a classic carver, power comes into play.

I've been told that once the project is on display or in use, nobody is going to ask what tools you used to create it! I've seen many a fine turned bowls that were completed using only scraping tools, while some so-called purists consider scraper a four letter word. (grin)
