nailers, pinners and such, before air compressors, before screws with square or philips drive, makers used :shock: nails :roll: and judging from surviving examples of old school furniture they did the job. While you probably aren't going to nail your keepsake box together or craft the dining room suite using nails, knowing what to look for if you are examining old furniture basic nail info can be useful.

If you are going to attempt to authentically reproduce an antique or a primitive piece of furniture nails are going to be very important for you. :thumbup: :thumbdown: always keep them away from the working end of a hammer

Used judiciously and carefully, nails can get the job done. Used properly they might just serve in a decorative manner.
