are safer to use and give much better more efficient results. Keeping plane irons and chisels sharp is not a glamorous shop job. Many of us use the "scary sharp" method of adhering sand paper of finer grits to a piece of glass to sharpen. Some of us use stones or plates for the job. Thanks! This is the first I've heard of this stuff....looks like it may be a more viable option for portability than my Shaptons.
