Hey woodworkers how ya been. Ive been working on a "Twin Dressers" project for my twin girls. All of the woodworking is done and now I'm preping for the finish. finished project pics in a week or two. Do we still talk about Knipher's "rude and crude" here? Image

So good to have you back, Dewayne!! Your new shop looks great. How about giving us a tour when you have time? Last I saw was when you were raising the walls on it.
Good work on the chests! Can't wait to see the finished product.
YES, some of us still talk about Dave Knipfer's Rude & Crude finish.....I still use it sometimes but have developed a few more options that I really like for some woods. I found using a couple coats of 1 lb cut of dewaxed shellac and following up with (2 to 3 coats) Liberon oil (vigorously) rubbed into walnut will bring an almost sensuous textured finish...much better than R&C. R & C works great on Maple and Birch and several others that I've used it on but some stock like walnut, padauk and cyprus appears to come out better with other finishes.
