About 9 months ago I posted a tray design I had recently made. I finally got around to making small tables to sit the trays on. Because of the shape, rectangular table didn't fit snugly inside the bottom lip of the trays. The solution, of course, it to match the top to the tray shape. These tables leave about 1/8" clearance for the tray to nest on. Top is curly maple, legs are walnut. The tops of the legs have a tongue and groove feature that allowed me to glue the tops to edge grain, not end grain, which would have been pretty weak. I made two of these, pictures are just one.

The table top is curly maple, the legs are walnut. The tray is cherry.
