My return to the shop was a fairly simple one. My niece asked for a cribbage board so I found some scrap in the corner and made this for her. I believe the wood is Jotoba and maple for the accents. It has a slight curve witch adds a little pizazz to a simple object. The gloss on the finish, Minwax, is a little more than I like. I might work on that before it ships off.

The pegs are rustic, but I like them. A small scrap of Bloodwood that dulled my chip tools as I cut the four of these.

Hope you enjoy the pictures, I think I'm actually better at wood working than photography. Not saying much.

Hey Ed,

Nice job! I've often thought of making cribbage boards as gifts, but something else has always inspired me to put it off. I really like the curved surface on your piece, it may get me going in that direction again.

Thanks,
Tom

I like it. I am terrible at cribbage but I kinda like the game. My brother in law is very good at it. He never lets me forget that :D

The gentle arc and maple accents are a nice touch.

Nicely done Ed. You have a fine eye for detail and the peg hole layout is right on. Nice choice of wood and finish
