I am waiting on one of the brass barrels from the guy that makes them for me.
One of these is sold already.
One of the carriages is going to the guy that makes the barrels.
And one of them is for stock. The guy is making yet another barrel for me.

Just out of curiosity, were actual canon ever made with brass barrels?

Dennis,
Early cannon were made of cast iron or bronze.
Brass has a different chemical makeup than bronze.

I cut them out of 1" X 1/8" flat bar with an angle grinder. Not hard, just tedious!

Paul,
The barrels are 13" long. Carriage is 14" long.
Barrel weighs 17 lbs.
