I bought 5-acres to build my wife's retirement house and my Man Cave (aka woodshop and bike shop). So instead of loading up a few thousand BF of lumber, I decided to make the long delayed projects and get recipients to come move the lumber for me. Then after the new place is built, I'll go raid JohnBoy's stash :D

Here's another bench (this is now my 5th).

Red maple body, rock (aka hard) maple slats, oil finish. The seat height is perfect for a Kyler (made this for my brother). I hope I didn't make it too tall for his fiance. He'd better hurry up and come get it cuz once accessorization begins, gift status becomes questionable! My bride is warming to it.

Nice looking bench.............I do worry about that one knot of the right hand side so close to that junction. I like how it looks so light and airy like a maple piece should. Hope your brother likes it.
