The bar with a brand new bottle of Blantons 93 proof Single Barrel Kentucky Bourbon. From Barrel 3, Rack 29, Warehouse H. Gift from my best friend. :D Haven't cracked it yet, and don't intend to until there's a really special occasion.

You might be able to find it at the SeaTac Duty Free store. Only one of their 4 offerings is available at regular likker stores.

Here's the Blantons website https://www.blantonsbourbon.com/#

Hey Gene,

You're lucky that bourbon is your poison. I had to fly to Scotland, then drive four hours into the highlands to find mine. I probably won't ever taste it again, after I finish the bottle I bought two years ago. ;-)

Cheers,
Tom

Hey Dennis,

That would be Dalwhine 25 year old. The Dalwhine distillery is a very small, two still operation, at the highest elevation of any distillery in
Scotland. It's still run by descendants of the founders, and they still use paper, a pencil and a stopwatch. There is no computer automation for anything but the cash register at the tasting room.

Because of the elevation, and the remote location, they maintain sleeping quarters for employees who get stuck there a couple times a year, during snow storms.

Nice place, nice folks, great whiskey, and worth the trip.

Cheers,
Tom

I'm not quite that dedicated to finding the finest spirits on the planet, nor am I rich enough. Glad you were able to tho. :D

Hey Gene,

The whiskey was a bonus. I am also lucky enough to have a god-daughter, with a taste for single malts, who was studying veterinary medicine in Scotland at the time. Life is good.

Cheers,
Tom
