 Post subject: Changing Table Converted

I built this changing table 7 years ago and finally got around to converting it to a dresser. The cherry and maple are rather dark in the pic due to some lighting challenges and my camera. Tried to photo edit them. Finish is Knipfers "Rude and Crude" as usual. :-D

I remember when you first posted this project. Now, with the darkening of the Cherry, it's even more stunning. The contrast in these two beautiful woods is just outstanding. I'm making plans for a bookcase headboard for our bed and I want to go with this same combination. My wife leans towards red oak, and nothing but red oak. UGH! Wish me luck.

Thanks Frank, I am planing on making two dressers for my daughters in the same scheam. I have done a couple projects in red oak. I like to mix a darker wood with it like cherry or walnut. Maybe even paduak. If you can find some Q sawn red oak it can be quite stunning.
