I just finished my forth Napoleon.
My customer wanted his painted the regulation green.
I prefer the stain but I won't be able to see it from my house. :D

The wood work is the easy part. I buy the wheels for $350.
The ironwork is the part that takes many, many hours.

Look at each of these small pieces and imagine how long it would take you to make one of them.

It is actually pretty tedious because of the small size.
I always have thought that you get out of a project what you are willing to put in to it. If any of us put 100 hours into something doing the best we can, it will turn out pretty nice.

Thanks for the comments.

I still have one of these for sale on my website here. Clearly the price reflects the time I have into one of these. On the other hand, I have sold three of them. :D

I'm honored to share this forum with such an accomplished and Master Craftsman. Thank you so much for posting your work. I, personally, think you are selling them too cheap. They are heirlooms that will last 1,000 years or more! $6,000 would be cheap IMHO

Hi Don,
Thanks for the complement.

Master craftsman? Believe me, I'm just a regular guy trying to make something in my really small shop. 12' X 24'!
I am willing, however, to put in a lot of hours in a project. That is what makes the difference.

I am satisfied with what I am asking for them. They are heirlooms and will last a really long time.
I just have to find that person who is willing to pay for quality.
They are out there. I have sold three of these.

Finding that person is challenging! :-?
