I have this 1899 treadle Singer with 4 drawer cabinet, Ser. No 16668647, in working condition. I think it's a Model 27. Anyone have any idea of value? Interested in selling it.

Can't help with the value but we have one that looks exactly like yours.
And it also works .
Will be very interested in any value that is determined.
Where did you find the serial number (location on the machine)?
Edit
A quick look at ebay did not look encouraging. Did not see a machine as old as yours
but what was there ran $100-$200 asking prices. Did not look at sold items.

Serial numbers may be located in different places on different models. On this one its a small brass plate on the right front side of the machine near the handwheel.

Here's a link to the Singer serial number list: http://www.singerco.com/support/machine-serial-numbers . Ignore the decimal points in the listed numbers, they are not included in the serial number plate on the machine.

Btw, this was a restoration project I did about 20 years ago, when we lived in Mukilteo, Wa. Found it at a yard sale in Ocean Shores in absolutely terrible condition. Had to replace the veneer on the cabinet top, and completely tear down and rebuild the machine. Luckily I didn't have to replace any parts, but it was a job. :)

Your experience is the same as mine including major problems with the veneer.

Thanks for your info.

In our area (Holmes county Ohio) Singers aren't worth much.( $50.00 or less) Now the Amish prefer the White. They are going for $200 range
