I knew it as soon as I saw his name posted by Gail. Go with peace, fellow sawduster, go with peace.

John will indeed be sorely missed. To his family and closest friends, know that he had such a huge impact on many woodworkers' knowledge and enjoyment of our craft.

Sandy, John's wife, has checked in on this thread and passes along her utmost thanks to all those who have been so kind. She is touched by your sympathies.

Sandy is working to try to keep the website up and will continue to sell John's CD's until the inventory runs out.

Thanks all,

Gail

What's going on here? I just looked at this post and my post said "COOL"
John Lucas was a fine man and he did much for the woodworking community.
Maybe I was going to post something and forgot to finish what I was doing here on the site..

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Hey Ralph,
I saw that, but figured you had just finished reading the obituary and were duly impressed. Don't sweat it.

This is a sad loss to the community. My condolences to his wife and family. John's site was one of the first resources when I first got started in woodworking. He will be missed.

I haven't been an active participant here in quite a while, but I do check in from time to time; sad news indeed.

When my saw was active, on occasion I would email John with a question...he always answered back; the personal touch was nice.

Godspeed John Lucas

John I want to thank you for all the advice you have given me. You will be missed.

PS: Gail please keep in touch with us. Jump in once in a while even if just to say hello. You know you are a great asset to us.

I can't count the number of times I've looked through his demos.

What a generous man! What a legacy he leaves!

What a hole he leaves behind on this forum.

My sympathy to his family.
