How whats to get on board? Its a simple project?
Post on here if you think you have what it takes to create this .
You will need 2 pieces of wood no larger then 24" x 24" square.
The wood will have to be 3" thick. We are going to be carving something that you will be able to
use for a very long time in your home, trust me on this.
If your in and think you have what it takes :D Post to this post "IN"
Tools -- hand drill, wood rasp, belt sander , jig saw. orbital sander, sandpaper.
And some glue to glue up wooden blanks to get your 3" thick stock.
Some hand carving will be used in this project.
Thanks

I do not have a belt-sander.
And I'll need a definition for "jig saw".

When I was growing up, a "jig saw" was a handheld machine with a vertically oscillating blade.
I have one of these.

I do not have one of those table mounted gizmos (what we used to called "scroll saws").

We called 'em saber saws, but that's a subject for another discussion.

You know you jig a little then saw jig a little then saw. That's a jig saw.
Or you could go buy a hand jigsaw with a motor :D

I can definitely understand the need for a belt sander.

Out. I just replaced two wooden toilet seats with molded ones last week. Splinters, and de-lamination are a constant problem with them. I will never have another "wooden" throne seat in my house......
