Nobody here would know him, but a man I admired greatly died this week on Wednesday.
George was an australian fighter pilot in WW11, and a all a round interesting man. Ihave only known him for the past 13 y3ears or so, but have always enjoyed his company. He was a man who was not afraid to stir the fire and see what happened. Often with a gleem in his eye.

I imagine that most of you would have liked him,

Thanks for reading this,
eric

Hey Eric,

We are only here for a short time, and for most of us, the only lasting record of our existence is the testimony of those whom we have affected in life.
You've done well by your friend, I would like to have met him. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Tom

Ditto what Tom said. Sorry, Eric, so many friends affect us profoundly, and in a good way.

Unfortunately, we seem to be getting to that age that we are losing more and more of "The Greatest Generation" and it's a crying shame. The quality of the majority of "humanship" has not been the same since that era.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I too would have liked to meet him.
