Just think of the money he will save now. No TSA pat downs, no crowded airplanes etc.
The one drawback tho, is he will not get any frequent flyer miles.

There is a trick to it!
I just don't know what it is.

| Look closely. You can see the clear filament wires just before he takes off and the clear panel he is lying on becomes obvious from the flattened look of his clothes pressed against it when he initially "levitates" |

Hey C'mon Guys,
He's pretty obviously suspended by wires attached at the waist. Watch the video again. All of his rotation around a horizontal axis is around one point, his waist; there is no translation at all. If you could really fly at will, wouldn't you do a loop? And wouldn't you do a roll? And how about speed and acceleration? Would it always be the same? Does he really need to wear that bulky sweater?
Also notice how after he circuits the stage clockwise, he does a couple of pirouettes counter clockwise before launching again. This is to unwind the wires so that he can rotate between them again.
The rings: Notice carefully how as the rings appear to pass over him, the assistants at the axis of rotation are traversing past him, giving the illusion that the rings actually cross his vertical plane. Using two rings distracts your eye from too carefully examining them at any one point.
The box: Watch carefully as the assistants place the lid on the box. Notice that they slide it in from the end, and then lay it flat. This allows the lid to slide between the wires, and then flatten so that the wires are on either side.
David Copperfield is a good performer, and I'm sure that routine took hours of practice, but all within the laws of physics.

There was a series of programs on recently, like last week I believe, featuring a David (can't recall the last name) who did "street magic". Some of the most amazing stuff I've ever seen.
This stuff is amongst my favorite. Thanks for the link, Jess. _________________ Nullum Gratuitum Prandium
