I went back to the surgen for my 5 week check up on the new hip. He said one more week and then I could move up to 50% weight bearing and one crutch in another wek. I was hoping to get rid of the crutchs altogether. But he said at least another six weeks before full weight bearing!. I need a lot of patience and I need it NOW!

Donald, be patient, it will come, I have a friend who has had his hip replaced 5 times, problem with him was his first replacement was when he was about 32 years. He is a very active fellow and would just wear them out. So go slow and it will happen.
