You glued up laminations of contrasting wood to be sliced down to use for inlays/banding.

Hey Ralph,

Given your affection for your new lathe, I'll guess that your putting together a segmented piece. Although, the angles don't exactly suggest that. :confused:

Angle cut turning blanks to give a parrabolic curve look when turned.

It is my first attempt at a pen blank - I'll post something in the turning forum if I get a chance to have a go at it over the weekend...
