The space shuttle passed right over my house this morning on approach. Rattled the windows, and didn't know what was going on at first. http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2010/04/ ... overy.html

Yesterday, if it would have been able to land in the morning I believe they said that it might be heard over Iowa especially central and southwest---but it couldn't land then.

Hate to say that it passes over here so often we're kind of used to it. We used to live 20 miles from the Space Center and then the shuttle would REALLY rattle the windows. That was annoying but the night launches were amazing

Didn't hear it here... they must have taken the more northerly route...

First thing I thought was that one of my neighbors was blowing up stumps. Then, I thought maybe there'd been an accident at the chemical plant a couple miles away - which would have been really bad - but no siren. Then saw the news about the shuttle landing today.

I need me a set of those hearing aids.

Can you hear approaching asteroids?
