Yup! Palm trees and Rhodies the size of small castles! The Gulf Stream runs up the West coast of Scotland and makes it extremely temperate relative to the East coast. I spent a semester in college in Glasgow and departed Christmas Day. It was so warm (65 F) that I forgot my ski parka in my dorm room when I left for the airport! Fortunately, the fact that my plane ticket and passport were in the pocket of said parka made me realize the oversight in time to retrieve them and still make the plane home!
