The only good thing I can think of with this situation is that Ralph's straight line tools will not see the "spinny - turnny" thing and get upset. :) :-D :D

That was a few years ago. The larger workshop works well for the square stuff. But you have to realise this is work for me I don't really enjoy having to spend my days in the workshop making square and now round things - It's only a job :D

Ralph

Sorry to disappoint Pilot... there have been no peasoupers in Britain since I was a small boy...smokeless zone regulations put a stop to them.... thank goodness.

Nice workshop Ralph since mine has taken 2 years and counting I'm insanely jealous. It should go up in the next few weeks though. :D

Lawrence,

The sharpening station is just inside the door. it sits on a metal stand and is in easy reach of either lathe - gets a bit cosy with both of us in there

Here's a a couple of pictures showing the grinder in use re-profiling a bowl gouge to a fingernail profile and one of the jig after the regrind - note the mess. These shots were taken in the large workshop where we have room to take decent photographs.

Ray,

You'll get there. My workshop has been up for a few years now. I think it shrunk in the rain...
