I've been to a lot of woodworkimg shows in the past 10 years, and I've never had any money to spend. It's been rather depressing to pickup, look at, read about all the tools I'd like to have, but couldn't afford. Recently went to the woodworking show in Atlanta, and actually had some money from selling some of my woodturnings. Spent most of it too.

Here are a couple of things I bought that really made my table saw line up really quick and easy:

I could have made my own lineup tool, but this one can be used in lots of other applications, so I went ahead and bought it....

Now my Ridgid TS doesn't pinch when making a cut (whew! ), since the blade is lined up within .001" with the miter slot, and the fence is within .006". The fence has a lousy (read non-existent) method of adjustment....

Don't know anything about the "line up tool" but it looks like a well made and very useful item. :-D
But, you are going to LOVE that "Wixey" gauge! :-D :-D Those things are as handy as pockets on a shirt and can be used on other tools also. :-D

Now........

Wait for it........

YOU SUCK!!!!!

Both excellent investments. Good on ya. Wixey is the greatest thing since canned beer. You'll find all kinds of things to use it on. Sometimes I just walk around the shop with it in my hand and check stuff just for fun. :D Try this: Zero it on your bench, then stick it to the back of a chisel to see how good you are at holding a chisel perpendicular.

Better hope the craftsman rep isn't reading this or he'll come up with a brainstorm to attach a tilt meter on a mortise chisel....

from the people that brought us...

the electric clamp...

the left handed screwdriver...

the electric hammer....

a digital height gauge on a router....

oh yeah, and nice scores underdog-- I'm very happy to hear that some of your beautiful work sold

Great score UD! I have that same alignment gage and it really makes a difference in the performance of my TS.

YOU SUCK for sure! 8)

Nice score on the new toys, I mean tools. The Wixey is a handy little guy, but I have to take the battery out of mine between uses or it's dead when I want to use it. I had one Wixey replaced under warranty (1 year) but this one does the same. I talked to the owner of Wixey but he said 1 year warranty, too bad.
It's still fun to get new tools.
