I was planing some popular and I noticed that the hand wheel was turning as the wood was going thru. I looked at it and I found that the lock is not tight. I looked in the manual and it does not show how to adjust it. Anyone who has this model and knows how to adjust it let me know please?

Got the planer, but don't got the knowledge to help. Good luck with it. I can personally say that I have not had the same problem. I think I would just roll up the sleeves and get to looking. Good luck with the fix.

I noticed that when the blades are dull the handwheel will turn backwards slowly while planing. To get a little more life out of the blades I use masking tape to hold the wheel in place while planing, just use a "buddy tab" Folded at the end of the tape, so you ca repostition the height setting.

I was thinking that the blades were getting dull. I have to go to order a new set.
