WOW you're really making some progress there. The slats look just like the ones in the pic. Great work. 8)

Thanks guys. Yeah Dan, bandsawn. Lot of work each one. Sanding between those X's Wow!
Try to hold bandsaw very steady. Only got one slat finished, had to be sure was going to work.

Takes 2 bd ft Cherry for each slat. Slats joined with 3/8 dowels. 13 slats in head board X 4 = 52 dowels to line up. Hope I can do it!

Hey Dennis! Hows are those windows going? This is the first time I've ever documented anything like this. Have trouble remembering where I put the note I wrote myself.

Wife gave me grocery list yesterday and I forgot to take it. Hope I got what she wanted!

Its taking shape nicely and looking good.

This kind of project does (eat) timber but I can tell it will be worth it at the end of the day.

Have Fun

Stain the X's BEFORE assembly! That should make it somewhat easier.
The polly won't be too bad after you glue it up.

Well got it finished! Just noticed still need to attach bolt hole covers. :-D Took 153 hours, missed the 100 somebody had targeted.

Now going to be idle for a time, scheduled for rotor cup surgery March 5th.

Regards to all, AG
