I have used it and think it is great. Dust collection and life of the abrasive is very good. I use it on a DeWalt ROS, I did not get the pad for the abranet, I lose some of the stickiness of the original pad. I think the one for abranet would hold it better.

Hey Woodchuck,

Yes, I use Abranet, and I think it's great! It stays cool, and doesn't clog or pill up. I get a lot more use out of Abranet than I do of the same amount of regular sand paper.

Hey Ralph,

It's comparable to most other pre-cut sanding disks, with the exception of something like Festool. Given it's longer life, and the fact that I'm not switching out disks as often, I think it's a bargain.

Tom,
Do you use the interface pad or just the original pad on your sander? I bought the interface pad to use, it will take a little getting used to using the sander with that on there. I like it better without the interface pad, but I here that it will wear out your original sanding pad very fast.
I am swithing over to the Abranet as I run out of the Festool grits. I spend a ton of money on sanding disc and want something that will last longer! Festool sand paper does last longer than the others I feel, but it is getting very expensive to buy every so often. I want something that will give me more sanding for my buck!

Hey Chuck,

Yes, I do use the interface pad. I notice no difference when using the Abranet, and only a little difference when using the Festool disks. The interface pad will spare your sander's hook surface, no matter which brand of abrasive you use.

I find that the Festool paper is superior to anything else I've used including Abranet and Klingspor. But given the cost, I think that the Abranet is actually a better buy. It's a tough choice, because the Festool abrasive is so good that you naturally want to use it instead. But when you consider the cost, I think the Abranet wins.
