I think I may be after the impossible. I need some Japanese Lilac. Even a small amount for a memory box. I don't need enough for a whole box, just enough for an accent.
A friend of mine planted a Japanese Lilac in memory of a child lost at birth. I wanted to build a memory box and incorporate even a smidgen of the wood.
If any one could help me out, I would sincerely appreciate it. I'd be willing to trade other wood or buy it outright. ANY small amount would be welcome.
Thanks in advance. |

Scot:
Lilacs symbolize "love".....now I know why the parents planted that tree/bush. Here's a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syringa Another link: http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Lilac
I'm still looking for a source for you.
I do have a lilac bush in my yard and you're welcome to a branch, but they're not very large. Also, I'm not sure if it's "Japanese" lilac or not.

Scott,
I have one in my back yard. unfortunately, the largest trunk is about 2" across, and of course they woudl be green. How large, and how quick do you need them?
