In addition to tool and die work I used to make molds for the rubber indusrty And I still have two bridgeport mills and an engine lathe. What type of mold do you need.

Mount Rushmore I Knew I seen you before.

LB sorry this went far astray from your question at this point my answer would have not done any more damage.

Mount Rushmore I knew it!

There use to be mold makers on this forum I apologize I cannot recall who they are at this time.

Can you tell a little about you use will be?

www.vandykes.com

has a product called "Sil-Putty"...a two part material kinda like putty, mix the two part together, press over your original pattern and after a few minutes the flexible material can be removed. This material will pickup all detail and graining from the wood.

The have a casting product called "Sil-Pak"...a two part material you mix and pour into the mold and you can cast as many as you want from the reusable mold. These come out an off-white color, they can be painted or finished. The pieces can be glued on with epoxy or CA glue.

Hey little bear, If your question hasn't been answered shoot me an email, while not an expert I had a course in industrial ceramics and used and made plaster molds in the class and may be able to help.
