Got to watch the moons of Jupiter all "disappear" tonight. Well look like they disappeared, they are either in front or back of the planet and it looks like it has no moons. Sat out and watched for two hours. One by one they transited. Clouds rolled in to spoil, but a sucker hole thinned out just in time to watch the last one go. SWEET! Next time this will happen is in 2019.

Great way to get first light on my new Pentax 14mm XL eyepiece.

Anybody else get to watch? Clay?

Standing on my lanai with a rifle scope makes people nervous. I use the rifle to steady the scope c'mon...............

Nice catch Rick, wished I could have seen it but I'm no where near my scope right now, drat it.

Did you see any of the moons eclisped against Jupiter?

New eyepiece arrives in time for a very rare occurance, priceless.

Missed the Io occultation, watched the Callisto eclispe then both Europa and Ganymede's transit.

Was able to see Europa in transit for a brief while but a cluod passed in front and left but could not find it again.

Was a blast!
