Well, today is SWMBO's wedding anniversary (mine too I guess). :-D

We have had 25 happy years. Not too bad out of the actual 46 years we have been married. :D

So..... Besides the card and flowers, I am cranking up my Big Green Egg and cooking her a smoked prime rib dinner and some grilled corn on the cob. May even smoke some romaine lettuce for a salad.

Larry, if you and Liz hop in the lear and get here I MIGHT just save you some.

No shop time for me today. :-?

Happy Anniversary, Chuck and Ellen!!!!

I sure don't understand about the 25 out of 46 years, because I think you two belong together!!!! A wonderful couple, to those of you who haven't met them :D :D

Chuck,
Congratulations to both of you! That was real sweet of you, cooking a nice dinner, for the two of you. Ok, four of you, if Larry and Liz showed up! :D

Everyone - Thanks for your well wishes! We had a grand meal. (Still saving some for when Larry and Liz arrive.)

Verna - Vicki has it right. However, it was my lame excuse of making a joke. I would not trade Ellin for any other woman on this earth! (Their too had to train! :D )

Mango - Yes I smoke Romaine Lettuce. I use Mesquite chips. A totally different taste.

1. Take a head and split it in half.
2. Drizzle some Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the inside.
3. Add some herbs to the Oil or to the inside of the lettuce. I use Oregano, Thyme, and Sage.
4. Cook for about 5 - 7 minutes split side down.
5. Drizzle Oil on back side.
6. Flip over and cook for about 3 - 4 minutes.
7. The lettuce should look wilted.
8. Serve 1/2 head to each person or chop up and serve in salad bowl.
9. Serve with Tomatoes and fresh Parmesan Cheese.
10 . NO DRESSING! Salt and Pepper if desired.
