Thanks to my great team ....
Son in Law Mark
My other daughter's partner Chris,
and my two Sons... John and Simon.

Mark and I mixed the concrete, the rest spread it around the hole to fill it evenly.

Forgive me Ray, but I don't understand what you are doing. Maybe construction methods are different on the other side of the pond. :D

The ballast you refer to, is that the pile of flat concrete pieces? Looks like what we call pavers over here. Are they going to be installed over the concrete base you just completed? If so, do you put concrete between them like grout for tile? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks

Anyway, glad you're making progress on your shop.

John, guessing that the ballast is the rock used in the concrete??

Ray, progress finally huh??

Can't wait to get home so I can see the pictures.

All I get here at work is a red X.

Congrats on the progress, even though I don't know what the progress is. :D :D :D

Sorry John a case of two people divided by a single language.... yet again

'Ballast' in this situation is a mix of Builders Sharp Sand and Gravel,

The pavers are just that.... pavers :D
They are to form a patio in front of the workshop and on the access ramp as well.

I understand completely now. Just couldn't figure out how you were going to use those pavers in the shop. :D
