My new local Harbor Freight has it in gallons. I think it is about $20.00.

Sounds like Evapo-Rust has finally broken through! I'll be really happy to have a local source for a gallon, rather than having to order it and pay shipping!

Half hour drive to either, just not convenient. I'll have it delivered.

I live on property that was part of Geroge Washington's farms. It's a 1/4 mile walk to Mount Vernon.

If you're that far down then you're a half hour away from most things. :D

Nice spot down by the river in that area.

It has been awhile since I was in NoVa. Sure miss it, especially Spring and Fall. :(

Imagine my surprise when I got to work this morning and found that we had gotten some in our last delivery on Thursday. I'm going to order some more for the store tomorrow. It's selling for $19.84 a gallon.

Larry, that's great. My buddy John goes by your store when ever he's going to his boat.

Now I can get it delivered and I don't have to pay for shipping. :D :D :D

I found it at Harbor Freight for $19.95 a gallon. I cleaned five used (bought on E Bay) planes with it, re-using the solution after each plane. Still have most of the gallon left. Truly a miracle - does't hurt the Japanning and is easy on the skin.

Finally got by the Auto Zone here.
They only had quarts.
Paid $8.99 and got a $3 mail-in rebate.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the info Evapo-Rust. I have just picked up a couple of old planes that need work. ER sounds like a good way to start cleaning them up. How long have I got after I remove it from ER to apply a finish? I have sandblasted steel in the past and it starts rusting almost immediately.

You can clean them off, and then wipe them with some Evapo-Rust to prevent subsequent rusting. You must live in a damp environment??

Since Evapo Rust was mentioned in Ray's post, I thought I'd bring this one back to life.

Lee Valley also has it. It really is great stuff!

I know it works very well.

It can be had for $16 a gallon at Harbor Freight using the 20% off coupon.

If you need to use it for large items, a plastic bag and little suction works great

I bought some EvapoRust from a local farm and fleet store here in Iowa. No need to pay shipping if you don't have to.
ER's web site lists stores that carry it.

Larry, you know you can't get a big enough can to fit a Ford into... you're better off just buying a new Toyota ;)

ps- that stuff does look like it does an awesome job.... anyone know how it works?

Glad to see you guys are keeping Larry in line about that FORD... I was a little worried about Larry when we got all this snow. I figured the frame on his FORD would buckle if the bed got filled with it...
