My oldest boy sent me a picture of his new zero turn mower. So I sent him a picture of the new mower I got to mow the pasture. The new tractor and mower cost five times what I had spent years ago for a tractor, cut conditioner, rake, baler, and large trailers to bale 35 acres of hay. We used to bale and sell hay for money to send the kids to college. It was a good way to teach them to study hard, so they would not have to work hard The first thing we did was take off the 'Easy off" loader. We had to use two one ton comealongs to lift the loader out of the "cradle" which had large burrs at the top. Then it took three hours to grind a cutting edge on the blades of the rotary cutter. As they say :" they don't make them like they used to"
