Here is a shot of some of my friends at an Eastern Primitive rendezvous. We are eating historically accurate meat cooked over an open fire and washed down with historically accurate hard cider.

We love camping also. I'm too old to camp in a tent anymore.
This is what we do.
This was in Utah.

Zulu, at rendezvous we call those "tin Tepees" You will usually find a few in the parking lots. The thing I like about rendezvous is the variety of people you will find. From a couple with an old patched up tent taken out of a beat up rusted van. To a couple camped next to them that came in a 80 thousand dollar motor home that they park in the parking lot so they have air conditioning for the hot days. We all get along since at pre1840 events, since we don't talk about any presidents after Jackson, or political actions since the removal act of 1838.We just keep our powder dry and share our food and drinks.

The ice and left over snow is about gone here today, so was out cleaning up the mess of busted branches, and assorted other foliage along the driveway and yard.

Its over!!!!!

56 today and most of the snow and ice gone. Got one
limb off of the sidewalk to the shop and out of the yard.
Rest will wait for drier and warmer days.

Don,
I did Civil War re-enacting for 12 years with my full scale ten pounder Parrott Rifle.
It was quite fun! And you are right. The folks you meet are top notch!!
Here are a few pictures.

Zulu, those are beautiful pieces. I find it ironic that such beautiful pieces once spread so much pain and death.
