When they first came out with the saw stop I said I was going to get one when my grandson got old enough to start using a table saw. When he was younger he spent a lot of time helping me in my shop, but after he started school he got into computers and lost interest in woodworking so I never got a saw stop. Wednesday I will get the eight stiches taken out of my thumb. If he had stayed interested I would have gotten the saw stop!

Sorry to hear about your Thumb Don. I think a Saw Stop is the way to go if you ever purchase new. Never got cut on a table saw, but had a piece fly off of a knot and needed some surgury to fix my nail bed. THings happen fast! Hope you ave a full recovery.

Hope your Grandson gets back into the woodworking too!

Wow 8 stitches ..

I guess it could of been worse, count your blessings.

I remember when I messed around and lost the tip of a finger in a table saw accident.

It was all user error me not paying attention.

Plus I removed the blade guard.

It was also on my first official day of retirement.

Not a good sign huh?

Just try not ot be gun shy like i was and still am when using the saw.

Oh I for got to mention after that accident I put the blade guard back on and pretty much leave it on.

Hope you recover and get back at it....
