Well, tomorrow is the big day. At 9AM, I go in for rotator cuff surgery. The surgery won't be that bad, but the recovery time will be up to 6 months. So I won't be building any furniture for a while. If there's anyone looking for a job, I could use you. And your salary would start out at a very generous $2.63 an hour! Please start the prayers coming. I'll let you know how I'm doing. Please feel free to call me, my number is 301-932-6445. Talk to you all soon.

Best of luck to ya Larry. Your in my prayers. I just got out of wearing a boot for ankle surgery and now Im having my heart checked out. Got one more test then I meet with the cardiololgist to get the results. Ive been praying Im gonna be fine.

Just because your laid up doesnt mean ya cant come here and give us some of your folksy wisdom

When I was deployed I used to go to message boardsif anything just to keep my woodworking jones in check.

Been there and done that. and it was a gigantic failure. I had to have my shoulder replaced in May of 2019 and I must say that it worked very well, I can now do anything I need to and zero pain. Of course it took almost a year to get to that point.

Not saying your surgery will fail as there are very few that do I waited far too long to get it done. and yes recovery will take a while but don't push it, let it take it's course and you will be happy.

When we got to the surgery center on Monday, I was told the Dr. had an "event" and couldn't do the surgery. This is the 3rd or 4th time it's been rescheduled!! Now it's going to be done on Jan. 14th. This surgeon is the best one around here, but if it gets changed again, I'm finding a new one.

Wow Larry thats really sucks, Funny , I had a appointment scheduled for the 14th got a call the Dr rescheduled for the 17th. Ok I thought, then I had a appointment and the GPS sent me to the wrong office, so I called told them Id be 20 mins late they told me they didnt know if the Dr would see me.Got there and nope i had to reschedule for the 14th.

So I dont get it, Its ok for the Dr to reschedule, and when I show up on time for appointments I have to wait a half hour to 40 mins to see him yet If Im a little late they dont give any lee way....

Dont get it buddy.

Good luck Larry! Had mine done 4 years ago and had a great result. The recovery was not as painful as I expected, but did take 4 months.

Your surgery must be through the V.A. You have to hurry up and wait!
