Nice day today and I've been watching where my deer go for several weeks. They seem to prefer the front acres, so I decided to set up a alternate shooting position to cover that area, in addition to the one in the back. My woodshop is ideally suited for this and a 300lb table saw and a 35lb bag of corn makes a really nice solid rest. I'm a believer in working with what you got.

So set up a target about 80yds out that gives me a clear shot and fired off 7 rds this afternoon to check the zero on my Henry. I love ragged holes, but I forgot my trigger basics on 3 shots (tightening grip  ).

Pics.

From inside the shop. Target was placed (in the pic) about 10 yds past that tiny little garden bench on the left side looking out the door.

Note: the holes in the mower are from a couple years ago with a 12 gauge.

The target (red bull is 1" dia):

Sorry, but I have to ask. Were you not satisfied with the garden tractor and "fixed" it with the shotgun?

Engine froze about halfway thru mowing a couple years ago, not worth trying to repair. Bought a new one, and used the busted one for some target practice. :)
